Information about entry to Åland

The following applies for entry to Åland from Monday July 26th 2021

You are permitted to go on a cruise round trip if not disembarking the ship in Åland.

You may travel to Åland but you must take a covid-19 test, unless you hold one of the following certificates:

• A certificate for having received a full vaccine series (two doses) of a valid covid-19 vaccine prior to arrival (no less than 14 days from the last dose).

• A certificate of having been infected with the covid-19 virus less than six months ago.

• No certificate is required of persons born in 2006 or later.

Upon arrival in Åland from a country of risk*, the temporary additional provisions of the Communicable Diseases Act apply.

The Government of Åland recommends voluntary quarantine for seven (7) days after entry to Åland from a country of risk. The voluntary quarantine can be suspended with a negative covid-19 test taken no less than 72 hours after entry to Åland. Information from the Government of Åland

Please note that travelers must always carry valid proof of identity including a photo. Due to stricter border controls the identity of all travelers will be checked upon entry to Åland. Minors under the age of 18 traveling in the company of a parent or guardian who can show a valid proof of identity, are not covered by the ID requirement. Please have your travel documents and certifications ready when disembarking the ship in Åland.
