Åland offers excellent conditions for most sports. Several pitches fulfil international requirements and there are usually good accommodation options nearby. For swimming training there are two swimming centres with training lanes.
We offer 14 grass pitches, 5 gravel pitches and 2 artificial grass pitches. The grass pitches are usually playable from the beginning of May while the gravel pitches are playable already in March. Football pitches are located all over Åland and distances are short. Indoor football is played in four halls; Eckerö Hallen, Valbohallen, Godbyhallen and Vikingahallen.
Åland has two league teams; IFK Mariehamn in the men's Tipsliga and Åland United in the women's top league, which also became Finnish champions in 2009 and 2013.
