Booking a ferry ticket
Passenger, cars and meals can be booked up to one hour before departure. For booking times of the connecting bus, please refer to the respective location.
Payment
The ferry ticket is paid for at the time of booking online or by telephone. You can pay by swish/mobile bank or credit/debit card. We reserve the right to cancel your booking in case of non-payment.
Changing or cancelling a boat trip
If you are unable to make the trip, you must cancel your trip immediately. Web bookings can be changed/cancelled via the web, or by phone. Bookings made by phone can usually be changed/cancelled online, but in some cases they must be changed/cancelled by phone depending on the content of the booking. To receive a refund, the boat trip, meals and restaurant reservations must be cancelled at least one day before departure. Changes must be made at the latest the day before departure. If a return trip is booked in the same reservation but the outward journey has not been made, or has been cancelled, the shipping company has the right to cancel the return trip.

In the application you must state your name, booking number, account number with clearing number and attach a copy of the receipt of payment. The refund request must be sent no later than 14 days after the cancellation.

Complaints
Any complaints must be made directly to the relevant department on board as soon as a possible error is discovered. If a correction is not made immediately, a claim for compensation can be made in writing to Eckerö Linjen within 21 days of the end of the journey, provided that the customer has acted in accordance with the above and a correction has not been made. Age limit
The age limit of 18 years applies on board our ship and connecting buses. Children and young people under the age of 18 may only travel in the company of a parent or guardian. Exceptions are young people aged 12-17 years who can certify in writing that the journey is made due to studies, work, visits to relatives, for sports and school groups with an adult leader or similar. The exception is not made for day cruises. The booking is made by telephone or in one of our offices. The written certificate must be taken on the journey and be verifiable with the signatory of the certificate. Proof of identity
Please note that a valid photo ID must be carried with you at all times when travelling and must be presented on request.
Children under the age of 18 travelling with a parent or in sports and school groups with a leader who can show a valid ID document are not subject to this requirement. Nordic citizens do not need to have a passport for travelling within the Nordic region; passports may be required for citizens of other countries. However, all travellers must be able to identify themselves with a valid ID document.
Checks are carried out regularly in accordance with the ISPS rules or International Ship and Port Facility Code developed by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for increased security. Eckerö Linjen reserves the right to reject guests who lack the necessary documents.
Force majeure
Due to force majeure such as severe weather, disaster, strike, riot, fire, acts of war or similar, Eckerö Linjen may cancel departures, in which case the customer will be notified immediately and the amount paid will be refunded without deduction, or rebooked to another departure with Eckerö Linjen. In the event of force majeure, in the event of events beyond our control, travel with other shipping companies, or other expenses incurred as a result of cancelled departures, are generally not reimbursed.
Booking conditions for package holidays
(Trips that include accommodation or other land-based arrangements in addition to the boat trip).
The combined travel services you are offered constitute a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302. Therefore, you are subject to all EU rights applicable to package travel. Eckerö Linjen Ab will be fully responsible for the proper fulfilment of the package tour as a whole. In addition, Eckerö Linjen Ab has, by law, the protection to refund your payments and, when transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation. Fees
An administration fee of SEK 120 is charged in connection with booking a package holiday by telephone. This fee will be retained by Eckerö Linjen in the event of cancellation. A change fee of SEK 60 will be added when changing a booked trip. The change fee is not charged if the change is an additional booking. Online bookings are free of charge.
When does the booking become binding
Your booking is binding once you have paid for the package holiday, or part of it. We reserve the right to cancel your booking in case of non-payment.
Terms of payment
The first instalment is 20% of the package price and is payable at the time of booking. The final instalment must be paid at least 40 days before departure. If the booking is made 40 days or less before departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel your booking in case of non-payment.
Cancellation policy - hotel or guesthouse accommodation

Free cancellation of hotels and guesthouses no later than 14:00 Swedish time (15:00 Finnish time) the day before arrival. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
Cancellation policy - accommodation in cottage/apartment or glamping

If cancelled 21-29 days before arrival, Eckerö Linjen will retain 20% of the package price.
If cancelled 8-20 days before arrival, Eckerö Linjen will retain 50% of the package price.
If cancelled 3-7 days before arrival, Eckerö Linjen will retain 75% of the package price.
If cancelled 2 days before arrival, Eckerö Linjen will retain 95% of the package price, thereafter no refund will be made.
Cancellation of special country arrangements such as green fees and the like
1-4 persons. Free cancellation no later than 14.00 Swedish time (15.00 Finnish time) the day before arrival. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
5-20 persons. Free cancellation 1 month before arrival. Thereafter no refund.
In the event of cancellation of tickets for concerts or other performances, no refund will be made regardless of the time of cancellation.
Voluntary travel insurance
We recommend that customers take out voluntary travel insurance.
Possibility to transfer the journey to another person
If you wish, you can transfer the journey to another person for a change fee of SEK 60.
Complaints

Claims for compensation can be made in writing to Eckerö Linjen within 21 days after the end of the rental period, if the customer has proceeded as above and correction has not taken place. Please attach the booking number, receipt of payment and an account of the incident to your application. Email your request to [email protected]. If the customer and the hotel/agent do not reach an agreement, the customer can refer the dispute to the General Complaints Board in Stockholm.
Force majeure
Due to force majeure such as disaster, strike, riot, fire, acts of war or similar, Eckerö Linjen may cancel the package tour, in which case the customer shall be notified immediately and the amount paid shall be refunded without deduction.
Price changes
If changes in taxes and public charges or exchange rates that directly affect the rental industry occur after the package tour has become binding on the parties, before the date of taking possession, Eckerö Linjen is entitled to make corresponding adjustments to the price of the package tour. The increase may not exceed 8 per cent. These changes may not affect bookings that have 20 days or less left until the departure date.
Change of rental object
Eckerö Linjen may, due to events beyond the company's control, with the customer's approval, change the rental object to a cabin of equivalent type, value and location.
Customer's responsibility
The number of persons (including children) must not exceed the number of persons indicated for each accommodation option (specified on the booking confirmation, as well as on the website) without the authorisation of the establishment. Pets are not allowed anywhere. Veterinary certificates are required by customs. Please contact your veterinarian well in advance of departure for required vaccinations and other information. The customer undertakes to comply with the regulations, instructions and rules that apply to the rental property, and to compensate for any damage to the property, its surroundings or equipment.
Cleaning
In some cottages it is possible to order final cleaning for a fee. If the customer has not purchased final cleaning as an additional service, the customer is responsible for cleaning before departure. If the cleaning is not completed, the customer will be charged a fee that can be claimed even after departure.
Travel guarantee and the Package Travel Act
Eckerö Linjen (Eckerö Linjen Ab, Finland, Filial, org. nr. 516403-8837, Skatuddsvägen 10, SE-764 56 Grisslehamn) has lodged the statutory travel guarantee with Kammarkollegiet.
The travel guarantee provides financial protection for travellers when a trip is cancelled or interrupted if we become insolvent. The traveller can then apply for compensation under the travel guarantee. The Travel Guarantee Act applies to:
Package tours
A package tour is an arrangement consisting of transport and accommodation or one of these services combined with a tourist service, e.g. car hire, theatre tickets or admission to a sporting event. A package holiday must be longer than 24 hours or include overnight accommodation. A package holiday is sold at a single price or at separate prices linked to each other. All package holidays must be covered by a travel guarantee, regardless of whether they are sold to individuals or companies.
