Book the most fun day of the summer to Åland. The ferry from Grisslehamn to Åland only takes 2 hours each way and you have just over 4 hours to explore Eckerö. Visit Smart Park, the game safari, swim at Degersand or visit the Hunting and Fishing Museum.
Take the ferry to Åland and ebook a day trip to Eckerö. In Eckerö there is everything for a successful day with the family. The journey begins on board M/S Eckerö with good food and a tip round for the children. Once there, there are many places to visit. Did you know that perhaps Åland's most beautiful beach is in Eckerö at Degersand? Take off your shoes already at the parking lot and walk down over the sand dune to finally dip your toes in the water. On the beach there is a kiosk with snacks, ice cream and cold drinks and a little further up there is a restaurant and playground. Many hours easily pass here.
Also visit the all-activity park Smart Park and test to drive small electric cars and excavators, ride an old-fashioned carousel, pet the animals in the farm and don't miss the park's most popular attraction - the water playground "Battle of Bomarsund". Next to Smart Park is Sparks Laser Arena where each player must try to collect as many points as possible by hitting each other with a laser beam.
Also steer your nose towards Käringsund and the Wildlife safari where there is a huge game enclosure of 32 hectares where you can go on a guided tour and see deers, ostrich, llamas and wild boars up close. Next to the Wildlife Safari is the Åland Hunting and Fishing Museum which is housed in a building similar to a bunch of sea shacks. Inside the museum, you can learn about life in the Åland archipelago, nature and the hunting and fishing culture both in the past and in the present. The museum is suitable for both young and old.
Also take the opportunity to stroll down among the boathouses and have a soft ice cream at Bodegan or walk further along the path over the mountain and explore Käringsund's Resort and Conference with outdoor swimming pool, pedal bikes, mini golf course and much more.
Tired, happy and full of new memories, you board M/S Eckerö, which takes you back to Grisslehamn.
