During the spring, the high season is marked by whitefish and sea trout. As the weather warms and summer approaches, it's time to head out to the open sea to fish for glistening salmon. Starting from mid-April and continuing into the autumn, you may have the chance to catch the older pike or perch. Additionally, sea trout tend to come closer to the shores as the water gets colder.
When fishing on Åland, we always recommend practicing Catch and Release. The fundamental rule is not to take home more fish than you intend to consume. If a fish does not meet the minimum size requirement, you are obligated to release it back into the sea.
