Important Information for Our Customers – Unauthorized Exposure of Data from Eckerö Linjen’s Booking System
We would like to inform you that we have received an indication of unauthorized exposure of data from our booking system. The incident is currently being thoroughly investigated by our IT and Systems Department’s security team in collaboration with external experts and suppliers.
It is important to emphasize that no bank details, card numbers, or other payment information have been leaked. Nor have any passwords. The information that may have been exposed includes names, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registration numbers, and information about when trips have been made or are scheduled to be made.
We have filed a police report and notified the relevant authorities, and we are following applicable laws and guidelines to handle the situation responsibly.
As a customer, you do not need to take any action, but our usual recommendation applies – be alert to unusual emails, text messages, or other contacts that you do not recognize.
