In the cosy Kafé Käringsund we offer a varied menu with tasty home cooking, delicious prawn sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, buns and pastries from Ålandsbagarn and Ronjas bageri in Grisslehamn.
Kafé Käringsund is open on all tours and here you can start the day with a perfect café breakfast with a selection of delicious options. Enjoy steaming hot porridge, freshly boiled eggs or sandwiches filled with, among other things, medwurst, ham and tasty cheese from Åland, all on bread (rolls and baguettes) from Ålandsbagarn and Ronjas bageri.
In the display cabinet you will always find tasty sandwiches and good pastries such as cakes, biscuits and other pastries from Ronjas Bageri in Grissleham and from Ålandsbagarn. Sometimes you can also step into the café and smell the freshly baked pastries, then our café staff have made homemade coffee for sale.
During the day we serve home cooking and here you will always find our delicious meatballs with mash, a good fish option and a vegetarian option as well as other good dishes. The menu in the café varies depending on the ingredients we have received for the day. The menu always includes a salad bar.
Whether you are travelling with us in the morning, during the day or in the evening, Kafé Käringsund is always open and serves you good and tasty food and drinks. Please note that hot food is served until 20.30 on the evening departure.

We at Eckerö Linjen are very keen to serve good and well-prepared food.
To ensure quality, we conduct a survey via Marknadskraft AB, an industry-affiliated research company. In our guest satisfaction survey, Kafé Käringsund received the following ratings in March 2025 from 163 respondents. The scale goes from 1 to 6, where 6 is the highest and 1 the lowest rating.
Was the food tasty and well cooked? 75% have given a score of 5-6
How were the staff treated? 89% have given a score of 5-6

Pirate room Ship o' fun
Step aboard the M/S Eckerö and enter the pirate room "Skepp o'Skoj", a place where your adventure begins. Here you will find a pirate ship with a steering wheel, compass and a slide for the brave pirates. This whole pirate paradise is decorated by artist Jonas Wilén, who lives in Åland and is known for his drawings.
Next to the pirate room, you'll find a balance room with a small climbing wall and digital game consoles. It's a challenge for the little pirates to test their skills. But don't worry, the cafeteria is right next door, so you can keep an eye on your little adventurers while enjoying a cup of coffee or other treats. The cafeteria also serves pirate meatballs and, of course, ice cream for those hungry little tummies.

In our playroom or at the information desk on deck 5, you will find a QR code that will guide you to our digital trivia round. Just scan the code with your smartphone and you're ready to start the quiz.
