At our company, we strive to make your booking and travelling experience a smooth one. To ensure that all the details are clear, we have carefully formulated our booking conditions for groups. Here you can easily get an overview of what applies when you book with us.
List of names/passenger registration/registration number
Please complete the attached list of names. The list of names must be received no later than 20 days before departure and must include the following statutory information: first name, surname, sex, year of birth, month, day, nationality and any information that may be useful in a rescue situation. When booking a car, the registration number must be given before departure. If there are foreign nationals in the group, it is important that you contact the Finnish Embassy to check visa regulations (telephone 08-676 67 00). If a meal is booked, please inform us of any food allergies either by phone or by email [email protected]
Remember to also state the booking number.
Identity documents
Please note that valid proof of identity must be carried with you at all times when travelling and presented on request.
Payment of travel
Payment must be received by Eckerö Linjen at least seven days before departure. Payment is made by phone or via the website, by credit card or Swish. The trip can also be paid via BG 101-2145, please state OCR number. If you book your trip later than seven days before departure, the full amount is paid at the time of booking.
Cancellation/changes in number
Cancellation/changes to travel bookings can be made by telephone no later than 16.00 on the weekday closest to departure. Land arrangements in Åland can be cancelled free of charge no later than 20 days before departure.
Cancellation rules and conditions for your own bus booked via Eckerö Linjen
If you have booked your own bus via Eckerö Linjen, you can cancel the bus free of charge up to 8 days before departure. If you cancel 7-3 days before departure, you will be charged SEK 5,000. Cancellations 72 hours or more before departure will be charged SEK 8,000.
When booking your own coach, prices are based on 30 people. If there are fewer than 30 people, or the number is reduced to fewer than 30 people before departure, the following fee will be added: for 29-25 people SEK 6,000. For 24-20 people, SEK 9,000. For 19-10 people, SEK 12,000. We pick up the entire group from Eckerö Line's regular stops. If you wish to be picked up from another stop, a fee of SEK 2,300/one way will be added.
If any member of the group has acted in a way that results in extra costs for cleaning, sanitisation or repairs, the group will be charged SEK 2 000, or the actual cost.
Check-in one hour before departure
The group leader redeems the travel documents and boarding cards at the information desk inside the terminal. The group leader hands out the boarding cards. All vehicles must be ready for loading at least 30 minutes before departure. Groups arriving with Eckerö Line's connecting buses check in immediately after arrival at Grisslehamn. If you are delayed at Grisslehamn, you must inform our booking department on 0175-258 00. Please leave your mobile phone number so that we can keep in touch.
Boarding cars
Everyone remains in their cars when boarding. Also applies on the return journey.
Boarding buses
Only the driver drives out onto the car deck and then boards. All passengers go via the departure hall. Also applies on the return journey.
Before travelling
Åland is on Finnish time, i.e. one hour before Swedish time. We always indicate local times in our bookings. The currency in Åland is the euro, but you can pay in kronor in most shops. You can also change to euros on board in our information centre
