Children's Eckerö with Wildlife Safari

The savannah may seem far away in Åland, but appearances can be deceiving. In Käringsund in Eckerö, there is a huge 32-hectare game reserve where you can go on a wildlife safari and see red deer, fallow deer, ostriches, llamas and wild boars up close.

The safari wagon can accommodate approximately 40 people and the tour takes about 45 minutes. The tour starts and ends at the Hunting and Fishing Museum. At the entrance to the safari, there is also a small safari shop selling coffee, soft drinks, ice cream, sweets and souvenirs. The safari shop also sells meat products such as game sausage, smoked venison and wild boar meat, and ostrich eggs, so remember to bring a cool bag.
