How to day cruise with Eckerö Linjen
M/S Eckerö leaves Grisslehamn three times every day, at 10.00, 15.00 and 20.00 Swedish time. As the Eckerö Line travels the shortest distance between Sweden and Åland, the cruise is equally suitable for those who want to make a fun day trip as for those who simply need to transport themselves to and from Åland.
When you take a day cruise with Eckerö Linjen, you travel on a turning ship without disembarking, which means you can enjoy the Åland Sea and all the pleasures of the boat for 4.5 hours. The boat trip itself from Grisslehamn to Eckerö takes only 2 hours one way, with a half-hour stop in the harbour.
If you want a day cruise starting in Sweden, you can choose between the 10.00 and 15.00 departures from Grisslehamn. The boat departing at 20.00 from Grisslehamn stays in Eckerö harbour overnight and departs again from Åland at 08.00 in the morning. You can also depart from Åland at 13.30 or 18.30 (local time).

For those who prefer to be served at the table during their day cruise, we recommend booking a table at Restaurang Rospiggen with both an à la carte menu and a set 3-course menu that is updated weekly.
In Bistro Byholma, you can enjoy delicious grilled dishes, sandwiches, coffee and pastries in a cosy setting with wonderful views of the sea.
At Kafé Käringsund you will find, among other things, home cooking, salads, coffee and our popular prawn sandwich. The café is open during all departures of the day.
In our store Magasin Märket you will find a wide selection of make-up and skincare, perfumes, accessories, toys and sweets as well as wines and other alcoholic beverages at favourable prices. Entertainment
On Eckerö Linjen you are offered pleasant entertainment every day of the week. At Klubb Kuling you can enjoy live entertainment with both music quizzes and music entertainment in different genres. For those of you who like a little more holdigång, the departure at 15.00 on Saturdays is extra popular, where there is entertainment by both our cruise hosts and invited live bands. During the summer season, live bands play on the sun deck every day of the week, weather permitting.
For our youngest travellers, there is both a clever hint round and the playroom Skepp o´skoj, with the children's own pirate ship and fun games. Children aged 6-11 years travel very cheaply on M/S Eckerö. All children up to 5 years old travel for free.
Conferencing
Combine business with pleasure by booking our meeting rooms! With our conference rooms seating 12 and 80 people respectively, today's business meetings can be turned into a fun day conference on the Åland Sea. When the work is done, you can enjoy shopping, entertainment and food on board before the boat returns to the harbour at the end of the working day.

Eckerö Linjen makes it easy to go on a day trip to Åland, and just as easy to get all the way home again. We offer connecting buses from over 100 stops in 30 different locations, taking you smoothly from your home to the boat and then home again when the day cruise is over.
The price is the same no matter which city you are travelling from, from Stockholm and Mälardalen in the south to Söderhamn in the north. The day cruise price includes everything - the bus journey, the boat trip, the entertainment on board and the fantastic view of the sea.

How to book your day cruise
The easiest and cheapest way to book a day cruise is directly here on our website. In our booking system, you can easily tailor your trip by choosing the departure, any connecting bus and whether you and your party want to enjoy the seasonal buffet or book a place in the à la carte restaurant during your trip. If you do not want to travel back with a returning ship, it is just as easy to choose another return journey in your booking, then choose a regular journey instead. Please note that not all bus connections can be booked at all times for regular travel. To and from Stockholm, Norrtälje and Uppsala, you can travel by bus at all ferry connections.
