SALT has an exciting history that stretches back to 2002, when some enthusiastic craftsmen joined forces to create a vibrant craft house with shop and studios. After a few years, they moved to the charming Sjökvarteret, and SALT has since become a beloved part of Mariehamn.

Here you will find not only beautiful, high-quality handicrafts, but also an inspiring community where craftsmen share knowledge and ideas. SALT has focussed on continuous development and acts as an important profile carrier for Åland. They give small traders the opportunity to showcase and sell their products, which means both arts and crafts and food crafts from local producers.
