When Sunnan II is not at sea on a cruise, you can see her moored at the pier in Mariehamn's maritime district. The ship was built in 1906 and was originally a steam boat, but has been powered by a diesel engine since 1985. She has travelled on the Saimaa River as well as in Vyborg, Russia, and before coming to Åland in 2019, the ship made dinner cruises in the Ekenäs archipelago for 29 years.
The menu on board is made up of local ingredients and what the season offers. The destination of the cruises varies so the ship goes wherever the captain steers, including Kastelholm and Föglö. During a cruise, you get to experience the Åland archipelago from the water while enjoying a good meal. On the upper deck there is a bar with a wind-protected bar terrace where you can enjoy a drink.
Due to the design of the vessel, it is not possible to move around on board with a wheelchair.
